Sequential Factory Diagnostic Tree

Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Disconnect power, remove door bellows clamp, and extract door lock mechanism from front panel.
Bench Test: Inspect the multi-pin connector plug for moisture corrosion or loose terminal pins.
Expected Standard: Dry, corrosion-free contacts.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Clean contacts or replace connector plug.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Measure resistance across the door lock PTC circuit terminals with a multimeter.
Bench Test: Check resistance across lock pins 1 and 3.
Expected Standard: 1,100 to 1,500 ohms at room temperature.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Resistance reads open circuit (0L). Replace door lock assembly (134629900).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Test continuity across harness wires between door lock and main control board.
Bench Test: Perform wiggle test on harness leads while monitoring continuity beeper on multimeter.
Expected Standard: Continuous 0 ohms without intermittent drops.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Repair broken wire strand inside harness jacket.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Test control board output voltage to door lock during cycle initiation.
Bench Test: Measure AC voltage pulse delivered to lock terminals at start of cycle.
Expected Standard: 120V AC pulse applied for 3 to 5 seconds.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace main electronic control board (137006000).

If Passed:

Replace door lock assembly (134629900).
