Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Disconnect power, remove top panel, and locate the door lock connector.

Bench Test: Measure electrical resistance across the door lock PTC wax motor / solenoid terminals.

Expected Standard: Normal resistance is approximately 1,100 to 1,500 ohms (1.1k–1.5k Ω) at room temperature.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Shorted or open PTC element (< 500 ohms or 0L). Replace door lock switch (134629900).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Inspect the door lock wire harness for thermal discoloration or pinched insulation.

Bench Test: Measure resistance of all harness leads end-to-end.

Expected Standard: 0 ohms continuity; clean pins.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Repair harness wiring.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Inspect the main electronic control board for a visibly burned door lock triac (component Q8 or similar).

Bench Test: Examine the surface of the triac chip for physical pitting, black soot, or blown casing.

Expected Standard: Triac pristine with zero burn marks or board charring.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

A shorted PTC wax motor frequently destroys the board triac. Replace both door lock (134629900) AND main control board (137006000).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Test door lock engagement under service test mode.

Bench Test: Initiate service test code 03 to command door lock activation.

Expected Standard: Lock clicks and door cannot be opened within 5 seconds.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace main electronic control board (137006000).

If Passed:

Clear error code from non-volatile memory.
