Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Disconnect electrical power (turn off double-pole 40A/50A range breaker) and clean touch glass surface.

Bench Test: Check touch surface for liquid boil-overs, condensation, or physical membrane punctures.

Expected Standard: Glass surface dry, clean, and free of moisture.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Clean and dry surface thoroughly; allow 15 minutes before restoring power.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Remove rear upper panel of backsplash to access electronic oven clock control (EOC) board.

Bench Test: Unplug the flat ribbon cable connecting touch membrane to the EOC board. Reapply power.

Expected Standard: If F11 error does not return with ribbon disconnected, the touch keypad membrane is shorted.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

If F11 returns with ribbon disconnected, internal EOC microprocessor matrix is shorted. Replace EOC clock control board (316455410).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Measure resistance across keypad ribbon cable contacts using digital multimeter.

Bench Test: Test resistance across all contact pairs without pressing any keys.

Expected Standard: Infinity (open circuit) across all pairs.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Resistance measured (< 100k ohms). Replace touch membrane keypad (316220701).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Inspect ribbon cable clamping latch on control board.

Bench Test: Ensure ribbon is inserted squarely without skewed alignment.

Expected Standard: Ribbon contacts aligned perfectly with connector fingers.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Re-align ribbon cable and latch firmly.

If Passed:

Replace electronic oven control board (316455410).
