Sequential Factory Diagnostic Tree

Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Inspect water supply shutoff valves behind washer and check supply hose strain relief.
Bench Test: Ensure cold water shutoff is fully opened and supply hose is not pinched against wall.
Expected Standard: Supply valve fully open; 20–100 PSI dynamic flow.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Open valve fully or replace damaged supply hose.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Inspect mesh filter screens in the water inlet valve connection fittings.
Bench Test: Check screen mesh for silt, iron oxide particles, or hard water scale.
Expected Standard: Clean screen mesh with zero sediment occlusion.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Extract and clean filter screens (00424981).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Measure resistance across cold and rinse water valve solenoids.
Bench Test: Unplug solenoid terminals and test resistance using digital multimeter.
Expected Standard: 3.8k to 4.5k ohms across each solenoid coil.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace water inlet triple valve assembly (00622324).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Inspect electronic pressure sensor air bell on tub bottom.
Bench Test: Inspect plastic air dome for soapy sludge or detergent buildup dampening pressure pulses.
Expected Standard: Clean, clear air bell with unrestricted air passage.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Flush air bell and replace pressure sensor hose (00605923).

If Passed:

Replace electronic pressure switch (00627460).
