Sequential Factory Diagnostic Tree

Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Remove condensate water drawer and check if tank is filled to capacity.
Bench Test: Empty container and ensure drainage port spout is not occluded with lint slime.
Expected Standard: Container empty, drain port unobstructed.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Empty and clean water container drawer.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Remove rear lower service panel to inspect the bottom condensate pump sump basin.
Bench Test: Inspect sump basin for accumulated wet lint paste jamming the pump impeller.
Expected Standard: Sump clean, pump impeller rotates freely without friction.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Clean sump basin thoroughly and flush with warm water.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Test electrical resistance across condensate pump motor terminals.
Bench Test: Disconnect pump harness and measure resistance across motor terminals with multimeter.
Expected Standard: Normal winding resistance is 120 to 160 ohms.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Open or shorted motor windings. Replace condensate drain pump (00654408).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Inspect condensate float microswitch mounted in the lower sump basin.
Bench Test: Measure continuity across switch contacts when float is at bottom vs elevated.
Expected Standard: Open circuit when down; 0 ohms continuity when float is raised.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace condensate float microswitch assembly (00624026).

If Passed:

Replace main power control board (11006842).
