Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Unscrew sump filter, sponge standing water from sump, and inspect the drain pump access cover clip.

Bench Test: Check if white plastic pump cover is clicked securely into the sump housing.

Expected Standard: Cover locked firmly; without this cover in place, the pump cavitates and logs E25 immediately.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Install and lock drain pump cover (00611322) until it clicks.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Remove the pump cover and check the pump impeller blades for mechanical obstructions.

Bench Test: Inspect for toothpicks, olive pits, or hair tangled around the motor shaft.

Expected Standard: Impeller free of obstructions; rotates freely with magnetic pulsing.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Extract foreign debris from pump cavity.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Inspect the rubber non-return flapper check valve located in the discharge port of the pump basin.

Bench Test: Check if check valve flapper is warped, torn, or held open by grit.

Expected Standard: Flexible rubber flapper seals cleanly against backflow.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace non-return check valve flapper (00165262).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual

Action: Test electrical resistance across the BLDC drain pump motor terminal connector.

Bench Test: Measure winding resistance between each of the 3 motor terminals using a digital multimeter.

Expected Standard: Balanced resistance of 75 to 95 ohms across each terminal pair.

If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace drain pump motor assembly (00631200).

If Passed:

Replace power control module (11028637).
