Sequential Factory Diagnostic Tree

Perform each diagnostic step in order. Disconnect electrical power and turn off utility shutoffs before inspecting wiring or internal mechanical assemblies.

Step 1: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Remove left side stainless outer panel to expose the large plastic water inlet matrix (heat exchanger).
Bench Test: Inspect the small printed circuit board (flow meter reed switch) clipped into the lower corner of the water matrix.
Expected Standard: Reed switch board dry, fully seated in matrix slot, and harness plugged in firmly.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Reseat or dry reed switch PCB.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Initiate a test fill cycle while observing the small spinning impellor inside the flow meter housing.
Bench Test: Check if plastic turbine wheel spins vigorously as incoming water flows.
Expected Standard: Turbine wheel spins freely without binding.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace water inlet matrix assembly (00668270) due to calcified turbine.

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Measure DC pulse voltage across reed switch output pins during active water fill.
Bench Test: Connect multimeter leads set to DC volts across the two reed switch output wires.
Expected Standard: Rapid fluctuating voltage signal (0V to 5V pulses) as magnet passes reed switch.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Replace flow meter reed switch sensor board (00611317).

If Passed:

Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Physical & Electrical InspectionMultimeter & Visual
Action: Inspect wiring harness between reed switch and main control module in rear base.
Bench Test: Test continuity across harness wires and check for pinched wire in hinge channel.
Expected Standard: 0 ohms continuity; clean pins.
If Failed / Out of Spec:

Repair harness wiring.

If Passed:

Replace main power module (11028637).
